Lisa is a versatile and expressive dancer who draws on her lifelong passion for music and dance to provide rich emotional content to her performances. An enthusiastic lifelong student, she strives to respect the art of Oriental Dance by understanding and learning its authentic roots, and from that study manifest her own unique combination of modern and traditional dance. As a performer and as a teacher, Lisa endeavors to share that passion through honest interpretation and the utmost respect for the art and culture.

Her performances can vary from exciting and lively drum solos to heart-wrenching interpretive pieces in the spirit of tarab. She loves all parts of the dance and is not afraid to explore and experiment! Lisa continues to study with master instructors throughout the United States, in styles such as Classical Egyptian (raqs sharqi), American Cabaret, Tribal, and Fusion Styles.

She is primarily a solo performer, but often collaborates with other dancers. She is also an adjunct member of the much acclaimed Ultra Gypsy Dance Theatre Company.

Lisa can be found at many dance events in the San Francisco Bay Area, and is a regular substitute teacher for Ultra Gypsy classes.
